Artist's Description

The Grumman J2F Duck (company designation G-15) was an American single-engine amphibious biplane. It was used by each major branch of the U.S. armed forces from the mid-1930s until just after World War II, primarily for utility and air-sea rescue duties. It was also used by the Argentine Navy, who took delivery of their first Duck in 1937. After the war, J2F Ducks saw service with independent civilian operators, as well as the armed forces of Colombia and Mexico.

About Steve Benefiel

Steve Benefiel

I am not real good at this biography stuff but here goes. I guess you could say I am an incurable nostalgic. I've been told I have an old soul. I enjoy the work of illustrators Gibson, Remington, Wyeth. I started getting into photography after retirement. I consider my camera an invaluable tool in my workflow. But just as important is a good base in software. I am teaching myself photoshop and Corel Painter. I learn thru trial and experimentation. Ok enough about me. If you want to know anything else just drop me a line or check out my portfolio website http://oldzero.com
